Pumpkin Patch

My husband Joe made me feel special by promising that we could go to a pumpkin patch this weekend. Joe's sister Janna was in town, along with her husband Phil and son Caden. They decided to come along with us. It was a beautiful 85 degree fall day! Ya, not really feeling like fall, but  oh well. Samantha loves her Aunt, Uncle, and Cousin. She doesn't normally take so well to people she doesn't see often, but was really enjoying her family. I was surprised to see Uncle Phil carrying her from the car to the pumpkin patch! As soon as we arrived, Samantha hit the ground running. What fun to a 2 year old to see all these big orange pumpkins on the ground for her enjoyment!
After running around and looking at all the pumpkins we headed over to see the animals. There were  goats, chickens, sheep, pigs, bison, horses, and a huge bull. Samantha of course had to pet the pig - one of her favorite animals!
The farm also had this great rock that all the kids were climbing all over. Caden was up there in a flash. Of course that meant Samantha wanted to climb too. Daddy helped.
The corn maze, or as Samantha calls it, "corn maizk". I'd never seen free growing corn before, just on TV. I was surprised at how tall it was. It was hot, but fun. I thought it was cool to see how little Samantha looked walking through the tall corn.
At the end, we went inside the barn to pick out our pumpkins. Samantha chose her own. It was the perfect size!
