Gramma and Auntie Leah come to visit!

After living in Texas for a year and a half, my sister finally came out to visit. When you think about it, it is strange that my own sister had never seen my home, the town I lived in, my new life. I was glad that she would finally be introduced to my new way of life, to my new home, and I was excited to show her all the things that were my new norm and many of the things that I love about Texas. So shortly after the craziness of the holidays had subsided, my mom and sis flew to Texas.
Interesting fact: neither my mom or sister had flown without their husbands before. It was an adventure!

We had a great time and lots of memories were made.

Gramma had special Sammie time, reading and pretending.

All us girls spent a day out shopping at the antique shops and specialty stores in Old Town Spring.

We stayed up late one night watching music videos and singing along. Joe was our DJ.

Leah and I got down our wedding dresses (she gave me hers before I moved) for Samantha to try on. When she put Leah's on she asked, "How did she walk in this thing?" But her face was priceless when she looked at herself in the mirror dressed in the beautiful wedding gowns.

Auntie Leah played pretend and dressed up like princesses with the "little princess". Samantha was in heaven!
We went to brunch at the Walden Yacht Club. A beautiful view of the lake and amazing food! We had a great morning!
Then Mom and Leah decided to take a road trip to visit Aunt Colleen, Uncle Greg and Cousin Ilona on their horse farm. They wanted to take Sam with them. Aaah! An apprehensive mommy let them take her baby because a horse farm must be seen! They had a great road trip and arrived safe and sound in Emory, TX.

 Photos of the crazy family!

Samantha had an amazing time at the horse farm. What an experience! She got to interact with the horses, help out on the farm, ride the golf cart, use the "puppy wacker" to keep the dogs from jumping on her, and experience a real farm! I'm glad she had this opportunity and wish I could have been there to see it.

I'm so glad my sister and mom came to visit. I'm glad my sister got the chance to see who I am and how I live now. It's so different from California and while I miss home, this is where we belong. I hope she liked it!
