A Special Day

Every break I get from work, I thank God for giving me the blessing of my job. Not only do I love being a teacher but I love the time off I get to spend time with my daughter. It is so refreshing to spend a weekday with my kid to just enjoy one another. Today we did. We spent the morning up in Alpine at the Outlet Center. The weather was beautiful and sunny. Sam and I thoroughly enjoyed eachothers company. She was cooperative, full of energy, and fun! Toddlers are so cute and find enjoyment in everything. It was a joy to watch her running and jumping around as we walked from store to store. She climbed rocks and stared and smiled at the waterfalls. We went to three different stores to purchase clothing for each of us in the family. We went to "Daddy's store", "Mommy's store", and "Samantha's store". Samantha was a great shopping buddy.
Afterwards we went to Rubios for fish tacos. She ate her rice (of course) and then ate all her fish when she heard that there was dessert in her bag if she did. The churro was definitely the best part for Sam!

I hope to always remember these times. A day of spending time with Samantha is simply living in the moment when stopping to watch a waterfall, enjoying the little things like picking out a new spring dress, and the comfortable companionship of mother & daughter.
