Samantha's First Pedicure

I wasn't expecting to do this so early. I thought I would wait until she was old enough to sit still and truly enjoy the "I'm becoming a little lady" feeling. I wanted it to be special.
Even though she is not yet 3 years old, it was the special day I had envisioned. Up until this point she has had her toes painted by me or auntie at home, not in a salon.
We are in Texas, in limbo between moving from California, and are staying with David and Suzette.  Suzette mentioned she was going to get a mani/pedi today. The men were going to work at the house we will be moving into. Did I want to come along? Of course I wanted to get a pedi and if Samantha was a good girl maybe she would get her toes painted too. So Suzette, Isabella, Samantha and I went off on a girls day.
We were seated in the chairs in the salon and Samantha was sitting on my lap. She watched the pedicurist intently as she worked on my feet. She was being such a good girl. Next to me was a little room with four smaller chairs with teddy bears on them. It was the little girl room. I thought it was so cute but didn't expect Sam to go in there alone without me. One of the ladies came to fetch Samantha. Isabella went with her just to be sure she felt comfortable. Surprisingly, Samantha went willingly with the pedicurist and sat down in one of the teddy bear chairs. I have never seen my daughter sit so still as the lady filed and then painted her toes. Occasionally, Sam would look over and smile at me. I know she felt like such a big girl...like mommy. I know she truly enjoyed it. She was having so much fun!
I absolutely LOVE having a daughter that I can share these things with. It is my joy to give her these experiences and to get to watch the pleasure it brings her.
It was an amazing day and her little toes turned out absolutely adorable!!!

The filing was ticklish on her little toes.
Intently watching the lady paint her toes.
Cheese! She was so excited! Such a big girl!
Mommy and baby - pretty feet.
Adorable "empanadas".
