It is my beautiful little girl's birthday this week. I cannot believe she is turning 3 years old!
We went simple this year on the whole party thing. It doesn't have to be a big tadoo every year and when asked what she wanted to do for her birthday she replied she wanted to have a party with her friends with balloons and cake! Easy enough! As luck would have it my parents were visiting this weekend so that made the birthday even more special. Samantha was thrilled to have her Grandma and Papa here to share in her special day. Along with her grandparents we invited our close friends the Langleys. Samantha loves to play with Preston and Bella so it was wonderful to have them join the celebration.
Samantha has been so excited for her birthday. She knows her birthday is in September and as soon as school started and they talked about this being the month of September she has been waiting for her day. We have lots of friends with birthdays in September and each time we would go to a party she would ask, "When is it my turn?" She just could not wait! So we went through Saturday morning without mentioning a thing about her birthday. We wanted her to take a nap! As soon as she went to bed we went into action decorating for her party.
Ready for the birthday girl!
I got her up from her nap and told her it was finally her birhday! Oh my goodness she was excited!
She ran all around checking out the balloons and decorations and she was over the moon happy.
She tried all the snacks set out on the table. All this for me? Yay, it's my birfday!!!
Remember, all she wanted for her birthday was balloons...
and "pupcakes"!!!
Samantha and Preston had a blast playing outside with the water table and slip-n-slide.
Samantha and her sweet friend, Bella.
The kazoos were a hit!
Time to sing Happy Birthday!
Then it was on to the presents!
She was excited over everything!
It was a perfect time with friends and family. A small party but so special. And the best part of all, is that Samantha had a great birthday and enjoyed every moment of it!!!
