We were invited as a family to attend St James Church for service and if we chose, our child could participate in singing for the congregation during service. Of course we wanted Samantha to do it if she wanted and we know how much she loves music!
As I brought Samantha to the front of the church that morning all the teachers greeted her with excitement, "Oh good, Samantha is here!" And then a little voice, "Samanta come howd my hand!!!" screams Caitlin and Sam runs to line up with her. The congregation and parents took their seats as the children waited outside. The service started with the choir singing "This Little Light of Mine" as all the children walked in holding hands and singing.
Once on stage they sang a couple of songs and then came back at the end of the service to sing a couple more. They were all so cute and did such a good job! The kids' ages ranged from 2yrs to 5. Some sang loud and some quiet. Most remembered their hand motions. A few added some dance moves of their own! (Owen) Samantha was all into it for the first couple of songs and then at the end found the church decor more interesting! Haha!
After the service, anyone we came in contact with thanked Samantha for her wonderful performance. Everyone was so positive and thankful for the kids' contribution to the service. We had the opportunity to meet some of Samantha's classmates and their parents. Best of all, we got to meet Ms Mary Kay. She is such a sweet woman. We could see that her and Sam have a special relationship. Samantha loves her and Ms Mary Kay called her "my snuggle bug".
I feel so blessed to have found such a wonderful preschool that has the support of an amazing church that loves, respects, and values their children.

My sweet little singer!
Sammie and her BFF, Caitlin.
Reminds me of you! You loved the singing in church so much. I have to say, I'm a bit jealous of Ms Mary Kay, though very very thankful for her obviously wonderful nurturing of our baby girl.
