Today was a special day at Samantha's school. It was Santa's Workshop day when the students had the opportunity to go to the rec hall and make Christmas crafts for their families and meet Santa Claus! So I took the day off to volunteer and of course enjoy watching my daughter. Joe and I have missed only one special day at school and Samantha sure did let us know how disappointed she was so never again! Haha.
Here is the 2's class. Samantha and her friends, (Caitlin, Rowan, Emma Rose, Faith, & Wyatt) getting ready in their elf aprons for the workshop.
As they were waiting Mrs. Claus walked by! Oh wow!
Cailtin & Samantha ready to have fun!
They went straight to the cookie table!
Sammie making a Christmas craft.
Getting her footprint on a plate.
She LOVED Mrs. Claus. She wanted to hug and snuggle her all up! Mrs. Claus thought Samantha was the cutest thing and didn't mind one bit!
Checking out Santa's beard.
A little nervous to sit on Santa's lap.
After all their hard work, the kiddos were rewarded with cookie and story time!
All the children had so much fun. They are all so sweet and cute. I love that I have the opportunity to be involved in Samantha's school. It really is a great way to spend a day off.
On the way home I asked Samantha, "What did you tell Santa you want for Christmas?"
To which she replied, "Squinkies!"
"Oh, great. What did Santa say?"
Samantha said, "Santa told me, 'No biting!'"
Haha and that is a whole other story...
